ARE SESSIONS COVERED BY MEDICARE?

Your child may be eligible for a Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDM) which allows for 5 rebated Speech Pathology sessions per calendar year through Medicare. Your General Practitioner will be able to provide you with this care plan.

You will be required to book an appointment a week in advance and can do this through our online booking system on this website or we would gladly help you make an appointment through an email or call on:

WILL I BE INVOLVED IN MY CHILD'S THERAPY?
Certainly! We encourage all parents to be apart of their child's intervention process and we will prepare you on how to support your child at home and in different environments.
CAN THE SESSIONS TAKE PLACE AT HOME OR SCHOOL?
We are a mobile service and therefore will provide therapy at your desired location, whether that be in your home, your child's school or day care. This has proved as a very positive experience for many of our clients, as they perform better in familiar environments in which they feel comfortable.
We will need permission from the school to do so and will organise sessions at a time that is best for your child and the school. We will discuss your desired location for therapy when you are making the appointment!
HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL MY CHILD REQUIRE?
Every child is unique and different. This question relies on a number of different areas including; the type of therapy, the severity of the impairment, the goals, time spent doing home tasks, child's motivation, the regularity of sessions, and many more.
We are always keeping up to date with research and aim to have the greatest impact in the shortest amount of time using the resources we have.
